The Law on copyright stipulates the conditions under which one may photocopy or reproduce any material protected by copyright. Libraries and archives are entitled to provide photocopied or reproduced documents under certain conditions set out by the Law. The above-mentioned conditions refer to the right to use photocopies and reproductions for study, writing dissertations, and research purposes. The establishment (Lucian Blaga Central University Library of Cluj-Napoca) reserves the right to refuse any request which could infringe the provisions of the Law on copyright.
Any partial or entire reproduction of those materials shall be, regardless of the purpose, forbidden until the holders of intellectual property rights provide their agreement in writing.
Moreover, this interdiction applies to reference sites and platforms which must use only external links for the data posted; it is a compulsory measure since this project has been financed by CNCS-UEFISCDI1 and the work of editors is to be freely accessible to all; in addition, the information displayed shall be offered to those interested in a specific format and with the certainty that its integrity is preserved.
To quote entries and other texts for illustration of several theoretical trends and ideas is exempt from the measures previously mentioned. This fact does not involve any prior specific permission from the holder of intellectual property rights.
Confidentiality Policy
The site stores a series of data for, on the one hand, properly carrying out its activities and improving their quality and, on the other hand, for protecting both the site and its users. It stores all data recorded in the application forms, as well as those related to the use of the site, i.e. operating systems, browser names and versions, identifiers of network and network activity, activity logs (pages accessed, items/ research strategies used, etc.).
The above information shall not be disclosed to other persons, institutions, or companies, except in the case of an infringement of the Terms and Conditions stipulated above and of the violation of law.
The data stored, except for the information of a personal nature, may be used for statistical analysis and calculation, as well as for publication purposes when of scientific interest.
Guarantee Clause
The material provided by this site has been prepared and verified in full respect of the highest academic standards; it still remains under scientific evaluation and may be amended by adding new functions and/or interpretations at any time. Despite this, editors and the Lucian Blaga Central University Library shall not offer any guarantee regarding either the correctness of the content provided or the functions performed; also, they shall not assume liability for any consequence that could result from the direct or indirect use – whatever it may be – of the site content.
